Welding is the process in which 2 or more materials are joined
to form 1, this is achieved by melting two contact surfaces by applying heat at
the same time as the material is applied to facilitate fusion.
The Racks that we manufacture at Serviacero ORBIS are formed from the union of many
metal parts, which is why the integration process is of the utmost importance
for our products.
Welding is a very important process for the industry for various
reasons:
•Provides permanent bond
•Application versatility
•Even the welded joint turns out to be stronger than it was
originally.
For these many reasons and for the quality that we are used to offering
our customers, we make sure we have the best supplies, such as quality
microwire and tools such as our state-of-the-art welders.
Beyond all the supplies and tools that we can use, our most
important resource is human, which is why we allocate so much effort and tools to our operational
force.
The welding team at Serviacero ORBIS has a "qualified
worker" certification provided by the state of Guanajuato, which is where
we are located. This type of "Certificate of Labor Competence" are
granted to technicians
with the highest level of performance in their work, this was specifically
given to our team for complying with the profile for "Welder for the
Microwire process. These certificates are valid for each person, Serviacero
ORBIS is the first interested in their continuous renewal.
The certifications mentioned
before, in addition to ensuring the effectiveness of the process, provide
technicians with an innumerable type of techniques and strategies to perform
their work in the best way.
These techniques do not arise only by coincidence, they are
studied in depth by the entities issuing certifications in order to ensure
their effectiveness, some of the techniques of which our operational force is
aware are:
• Joint: It is the
most used and consists of
connection boards that are in the same plane, the edges must be prepared when
they are greater than 6 mm or both sides are welded, the welding is for
complete penetration and forms the seamless transition possible between welded
components
•Lap joint: This seam, which consists of two overlapping parts,
has also been successful when partially replacing the outer panels, and it can
be verified that this seam configuration meets all the necessary conditions to
restore the original strength. In this method, the pieces to be joined have an
overlap of about 12 mm. In the area of the seam, it will be done by
staggering one of the edges of the seam, depending on the rigidity of the
surface, or the edge that remains on the new part. This staggering is done with
threaded pliers or pneumatic tube benders.
Corner Joining : Consists of joining two boards that are in different
planes (orthogonal or overlapping) to fill in the edges of the boards created
by corners, laps, and T-joints, as shown in the image below. The filler metal is used to provide a
generally triangular cross section.
•Edge Joint: A side weld is made at the
edges of two (or more) parts (usually sheet metal or sheet metal) where the
parts at an edge joint are parallel to at least one of their common edges and the board is on a common
edge. it is usually used for thin thicknesses without added material
(oxyacetylene welding and TIG), the welding process consists of forming a pool
of fusion with the base metal and moving it throughout the joint. The angle
of advance and positioning is the same as that of the horizontal position, but
the execution.
•Groove Weld: Insert welds and groove
welds are used to join the slabs together, using one or more holes or slots at
the top, then metal is filled to fuse the two parts together.
With the skilled
workforce, our tools and supplies, Serviacero ORBIS makes sure to offer a top
quality product capable of satisfying any need in any industry.
