Portable Roughness Measurements
Portable roughness measurements within the quality laboratory and production line can be performed with the Surftest SJ-210 and SJ-310, both support different roughness standards, include different parameters and functions, the Surftest SJ-210 is the most compact with an LCD screen that makes it easy to read the information, on the other hand, the Surftest SJ-310 It is equipped with a colour touch screen. The probe of these 2 devices facilitates measurements, which can be placed in any position; horizontal, vertical, inclined, upside down.
Data processing
If the need is to process data, it is recommended to use Surftest SJ-500 model being still a desktop device, or the Surftest SV-2100M4, is a bench-top device that implements the Z axis. Both models are integrated with the FORMTRACEPAK software, which allows reports to be produced in flexible formats for printing, and to issue an original inspection certificate.
Measurement Programs
If there is a need to carry out measurement programs, the use of the Surftest SV-3000CNC model, integrated in the same way with the software to generate your certified reports. A contour measurement with high accuracy, high functionality, high operability is the Contracer, equipped with a high-accuracy arc scale, on the other hand, the Model Contracter CV-2100, is equipped with a drive unit with a tilting mechanism that allows the measurement of planes without changing the configuration. Different tip models have been designed for the Contracer, in order to be able to measure the largest number of existing parts.
Roughness and Contour Measurements
The need to measure roughness and contours led Mitutoyo to design a hybrid machine that would allow us to perform both measurements in a single device, the Formtracer. Avant FTA-D3000, fully motorized, equipped with a joystick with the intention of improving the operation of the equipment, the measuring unit of this equipment allows tilting in order to be able to take measurements on complex parts without the need to implement special clamping methods.
At the Formtracer FTA-D3000 the measurement of both qualities is carried out through a simple exchange of detectors without having to disconnect the power supply; up to this model, its work table allows us to place our pieces in a fixture; however, we have the Formtracer CS-3300, which includes a motorized work table which allows us to carry out a measurement program in different sections of the piece.
Roundness and Cylindricity Measurements
Roundness and Cylindricity are two qualities that can be quantified and are in high demand in the industry in round products such as cans, filters, valves, all those whose bodies are round can be measured to check if they are round and their faces are parallel. , all of this is achieved with the Roundtest, a highly accurate measurement system that allows you to measure the geometry of features such as cylindricity and roundness.
