The leveling process starts from a master roll or tape, in this process the steel is passed through a leveler with a set of work rollers, which correct the shape of the material (coilset, corrugation, buckles, crossbow) improving the flatness of the material. Subsequently, it is cut to the required length, obtaining leaves and/or blanks as the final product. In the sheet process, we start from a master roll with the required final width, the tolerance guaranteed in this is the one that the roll has from the mill; In the blanks, the master width goes through a prior slitter cutting process, which guarantees a width tolerance of +/-.005".
The Multiblank process consists of the combination of a Leveler line and a Slitter, which allows the simultaneous cutting of several blanks within the same line, this reduces the response time of the general process and guarantees control of the tolerance of width in the final products.
Advantages: The capabilities of our machines allow us to adapt the tolerances and measurements of the final materials to any input requirements of the subsequent stamping processes.
Cutting Capacity of Leveling
We can level materials with thicknesses from 0.014” to 0.500” (.355mm-12.7mm), with an entry width from 8” to 72” (203.2mm-1,828mm) and with a master roll weight of up to 30 tons.
