The slitter process consists of longitudinally cutting steel that comes with the original width from the mill, obtaining as a final product the cutting of one or more coils of lesser width according to the customer's specification.
Depending on the thickness of the material, width and hardness, it is possible to obtain tapes from ½” to 72” wide, and it is possible to make from 1 to 27 cuts; which makes our process highly flexible and capable of adapting to the characteristics of each project, guaranteeing compliance with the critical characteristics of the different industries; The ribbons generated in the slitter cutting process are tailored to the individual specifications of each client and meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of international standards and the main OEMs globally; Each project is designed to meet just-in-time storage and consumption needs and based on the input requirements of any subsequent stamping process.
Slitter Cut Processing Capacity
We have the capacity to process materials with a minimum thickness of 0.010» up to 0.500» (.254mm-12.7mm), with roll or tape widths from ½»» to 72» (12.3mm-1,828mm); and a cutting tolerance of +/- .005” (+/- .127mm).
