Low Carbon Steel (hot rolled pickling)

This is a primary product of the steelmaking process. It is manufactured at very high temperatures (approximately 1,100°C) and its thickness is reduced through a thermomechanical process by passing it through rollers, either starting from an integrated mill slab or from the mini-mill process. Finally, the material goes through a pickling process that removes the primary oxide from the surface.

Characteristics

Its chemical composition contains a little more carbon (up to 0.25%), which gives it higher mechanical properties.

Standards

We have a great variety of grades that meet the requirements of international standards such as ASTM, SAE, EN, NES, etc., as well as automotive standards: GMW, Ford, Chrysler, etc.
