Our Story

Our history is backed by 50 years of experience in the market, we are committed to promoting industrial development in Mexico together with our clients, which is why we maintain the highest standards of quality and service in the industry.

1960´s

1966

Comercial y Aceros de León is born, a company dedicated to satisfying the need for steel in the construction industry.

1970´s

1974

Metales y Acero emerges as a supplier of special steels for machinery and tools used in the footwear and food sectors of León, Guanajuato.

1975

Metals and Steel (formerly Steel and Fine Metals) operations begin in the city of San Luis Potosí.

1980´s

1980

Serviacero de León is born, providing custom-cut and formed sheets.

1983

Metals and Steel operations begin in the city of Guadalajara and the city of Querétaro.

1990´s

1994

Comercial y Aceros de León opens its first Service center outside of León, Gto., in the city of Querétaro.

2000´s

2000

In order to support the industry and comprehensively satisfy the steel needs of its clients, these three companies join together under the name Serviacero.

2005

Serviacero Planos, opens its doors to its second Service Center in the city of Querétaro.

2006

It has been 40 years of providing its customers with the widest range of steel and services in the country.

2007

Serviacero Planos makes a Joint Venture with Worthington Industries to create Serviacero Worthington, projecting itself as one of the main steel suppliers nationwide.

2007

Serviacero Comercial opens new Morelia Service Center.

2009

Serviacero Comercial opens the Morelos Service Center in León.

2009

In July, Serviacero Worthington starts its third plant in Monterrey.

2010´s

2011

Servicero Comercial celebrates 45 years, thus confirming the commitment to constant growth as the largest and most reliable supplier.

2012

Serviacero Comercial opens a new Service Center in Guadalajara.

Servicero Worthington starts its pickling line, the first independent service center in Mexico.

2013

Serviacero Comercial opens its Distribution center in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, positioning us as your reliable supplier in the north of the country.
