The Heavy-Duty Electroforged Grating is a type of grating designed and manufactured to support significant loads, especially those generated by heavy traffic vehicles such as trucks, industrial vehicles, or heavy machinery. These gratings are commonly used in applications that require robust and durable structural strength in high-traffic environments.

They are used in a variety of applications where the presence of significant vehicular loads is expected, such as bridges and viaducts, vehicle access ramps, loading and unloading areas, walkways in port facilities, industrial installations, airports and aerial platforms, oil and gas platforms, and pedestrian walkways in areas with vehicular traffic.

Characteristics of the heavy-duty electroforged grating

Our heavy-duty electroforged grating is characterized by its great load capacity and strength. It is composed of two elements: bearing bar and round cross bars, manufactured through the electroforging process, which consists of creating a perfect fusion of the components by applying different pressures and electric arcs during the electroforging process, produced in 2×20,2×24, 3×20 and 3 x 24 ft panels. Thanks to the machine bed size, we can offer larger panels up to 3.9 × 29.5 ft. Its common applications include concrete reinforcements, bridges, drainage floors, manholes, vaults, airports, industrial areas, or heavy-traffic zones with heavy vehicles, industrial machinery, and constant load movement. The heavy-duty grating features a thicker bearing bar with a reinforced structure to support high loads without deforming or suffering damage.

They can be manufactured in different sizes according to customer needs, with a smooth surface and three different finishes: natural, which provides a minimalist and authentic appearance with low maintenance; painted, which offers customized aesthetics and protection against corrosion; and galvanized, which provides greater corrosion protection, higher durability, and low maintenance.
