Tivar® 1000 corresponds to an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, previously called UHMWPE, polyigar and Nylamid RA (abrasion resistant). A material with excellent resistance to corrosion, zero moisture absorption, dielectric resistance and a low coefficient of friction, which makes it among engineering plastics, the one with the highest resistance to wear.

Tivar® 1000, is a product approved by the FDA, USDA and NSF to be in contact with food; and it can work in environments up to a temperature of 82 ° C.
