Low Carbon Steel (hot rolled)

This is the primary product of the steelmaking process. It is manufactured at very high temperatures (approximately 1,100°C) and its thickness is reduced through a thermomechanical process by passing it through rollers, either starting from an integrated mill slab or from the mini-mill process. This material is mainly used in the construction and heavy machinery industry.

Characteristics

It’s ow carbon steel whose chemical and mechanical properties are ideal for light stamping (HR0, HR1/CS), medium stamping (HR2/DS), and deep stamping (HR3).

Standards

We have a great variety of grades that meet the requirements of international standards such as ASTM, SAE, EN, NES, etc., as well as automotive standards: GMW, Ford, Chrysler, etc.
